newwavefeminism:

Hey all! This summer I’ve been working on expanding this blog to include more pages with resources and educational tools. I always come across so many great resources and I can only blog so much everyday, and after a while the link is off in a tumblr black hole. BUT NOW I have compiled lots of great tools, websites and resources in one place for easy access. More importantly, for those who are new to feminism and activism, all the tools you need to get your feet off the ground in terms of educating yourself are all in one place. So lets see what new pages I’ve added:

Endless Resources Page

This page indexes a ridiculous amount of websites that can be of use. The are divided into the following sections: Educational resources, college scholarship sites, activist networking, funding programs for women, non profit organizations, politics, support organizations and a great many twitter accounts to follow.

Feminism University

This page has a growing list of academic lectures and speeches. They span an array of topics: feminism, politics, race, culture, poverty, sexuality. All by great and amazing women like Angela Davis, bell hooks, Sheryl Sandberg, Melissa Harris-Perry. It also feature topics like: “A Writer’s Attempt to Demarginalize ‘Queer’ Literature,” “Hip Hop & Social Justice,” and “10 things you didn’t know about orgasm.”

Job Board

A few months ago I was knee deep in the job search, looking for a place to work that also incorporated my ideals and would make the best use of my values. The hardest part is just knowing where to start. For those looking for jobs, internships and even volunteer opportunities - this can hopefully help you get on your way to doing more meaningful work in your communities =)

Most Blogged Tags

This has been on my page for a while but might as well remind you all that it exists. In a way this is a more organized archive of the more interesting and pertinent posts of my blog. Want to see all of my posts relating to reproductive rightssexuality,  politics and a number of other things? That’ll be where you go!

Whenever I update any of these pages I’ll be sure to make an announcement!

SUPPORT Newwavefeminism!

Of course this blog is a free resource to anyone who needs to the tools. But like any blogger who is hoping to take their platform to a higher level, donations & tips are greatly appreciated. If anyone feels compelled to throw some change my way via paypal I would be very appreciative but its obviously not mandatory in any way. And for those who like incentives, I recently opened an etsy store where you can supprt me there while buying whipped shea butter, sugar scrubs and bath salts. All hand made with natural ingredients! Anyone who makes a donations or a purchase will be getting a few special gifts from me in the form of a mix-tape and a lot of articles and excerpts I’ve collected from professors and through research. The specific content of those will be elaborated in a later post.

Any who, enjoy the rest of your day and stay cool! Thanks for reading :]
