Did you know that 99% of American women who are sexually active have used birth control? That’s basically every single woman you know. Birth control is a personal decision, but some politicians want to restrict access and make that decision for you. Don’t let them. If you’re one of the 99%, share this photo and take a stand to protect access to birth control.

Free Preventative Services for Women Start August 1st

“Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. ET, please join Senator Mark Begich (D-AK), Chairman of the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and other Democratic Senators for a Tele-Town Hall on free preventive services for women under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) beginning August 1st.

Thanks to ACA, health insurance plans will cover women’s preventive services, including contraception, domestic violence counseling, and support for breastfeeding equipment, without charging a co-pay or deductible starting in August of 2012. This new law helps women get the care they need, without worrying about the cost.
